We had a nice relaxing afternoon of picking, cutting, and scrubbing beautiful bright red and white radishes. The kids played, occasionally helping chop and sort here and there, and the cat lounged in the grass. I enjoyed visiting with our sweet 90 year old neighbor while we worked. For years and years this man has harvested radishes and dropped them off to all his friends around town. Now because of his age and health he no longer can do it and that's where we were happy to step in and help. We really had a wonderful time. Luke and Ava absolutely love him! Thank you Earl for sharing with us your knowledge and love of gardening and life.
We ended up with almost an entire 5 gallon bucket full! And probably ate 20 pounds of the crunchy spicy goodness just while we worked.
