Spring Break

We started out the weekend with a fancy dinner of teriyaki chicken and rice served in hollowed out pineapples and had movie night. Saturday we colored eggs and had Easter Dinner at Nana's house. Easter Sunday Jeremy, Ruth and I enjoyed watching the kids run around finding eggs and Jeremy made our favorite German Pancakes. After church we piled into the car to meet up with Grandma Barker, Rice and Emmy at the waterside hotel!





The kids wore themselves out with hours and hours of swimming. They absolutely love it there.

The next day we decided to take the train up to see the new City Creek Mall and the beautiful spring flowers at Temple Square. Then of course it was back to the hotel for more swimming.

It was such a nice warm day. The kids loved riding on the train, playing in the splash fountain and seeing the trout and waterfall at the mall.



Temple Square was my favorite, with the smell of sweet blossoms in the air and gorgeous flowers everywhere you looked. It was just the perfect little getaway. Thanks Rice and Grandma for the wonderful time!
